Internship Programs

General Information

  • Duration: 4 - 8 weeks (flexible, depends on your schedule).
  • Time of Year: Summer, All Year-Round.
  • Pay: Unpaid (but housing is substantially subsidized)
  • Workdays: Tuesday - Saturday, 40 hrs/week
  • Housing: Private studios available. Also, see Homestay options

Education Intern

Japanese Level: INTERMEDIATE

If you are majoring in education (especially TESOL) or Japan-related fields (such as Japanese, Japanese culture / history / religion), this program is for you! Practice teaching to local Japanese students and gain more experience in the art of education. Intermediate Japanese language level required.


Marketing Intern

Japanese Level: ADVANCED (敬語レベル)

Our marketing interns are responsible for designing The Class marketing programs and materials, many of which must be in Japanese. For marketing students interested in working in Japan in the future, don't miss this opportunity!


Art Intern

Japanese Level: BEGINNER

Are you good at digital art design and computer graphics, AND you want to experience Japan? The Class needs you! Help us design posters, logos, pamphlets, leaflets, banners and more! Decorate our school with your art.


High School Summer Intern

The Class also welcomes high school students interested in learning more about Japan! Students should expect to spend a productive summer learning and contributing to developing a better portfolio and workplace environment at The Class.
